Profile of Architect Mayank  Barjatya.

Born in Indore and currently in Pune, Spaces and structures grandeur in Bamboo and Rammed earth always fascinated Mayank Barjatya for its natural and earthy appeal. With this pursuit and passion he decided to take up architecture as Career and passed out from the architectural school in Pune in 1995.
Those days the technology was not easily available and with this passion he kept on searching for alternatives till he came across a Advanced course on Bio energetics & Building Biology at international academy of Bio- energetic under the guidance of Dr Rene Naccachian Acmos , Paris &  from Er. Wolfgang Priggen BZS in Germany

With Wolfgang, he started his journey on the path to a complete new world in Geopathy and how to relate the human energy with the spatial experience of mother earth. This learning is still in process.

In 2003 Mayank completed his masters in science in ecology & environment from Delhi University.

To pursue his passion in natural architecture, Mayank has learnt the fine techniques of Bamboo construction with Traditional Columbian Bamboo Architect Jorg Stamm and has also worked with him at Green School Bali & Soneva Resorts at Thailand.

Rammed Earth Master Hanno from Austria has taught Mayank the art of Rammed earth buildings which made them jointly work on projects to erect homes & walls of rammed earth in Pune, Bhor & Mumbai.

Mayank’s good friend and expert in bio-architecture Micheal Rice from Ireland and Building Biologist Architect Alex Greig from NewZeland are part of Prithwe team, contributing as teachers & guide.

With his intuitive nature and passion for perfection, in year 2005 he initiated a new natural system of planning & designing with nature & energy as core theme. He along with his wife Priti termed this institute & research center called Prithwe.. earth & us. The objective of Prithwe is based on integration of architecture with all other arts and sciences, which would transform and sensitize environmental issues for quality of life.

After educating several students and training them on various aspects which were beyond architecture for the past 20 years nationally and internationally with his immense experience as he worked closely with renowned Pritzker awardee B.V.Doshi & his office on various projects like Sangath, Kamala House, Manisha House, Amravati , Nalanda.

Mayank is a true Indian by heart, he is life member of Vidyan Bharati & has worked for several years with VIBHA to propagate Indian science specially Vedic Architecture . He planned & organised several technical sessions, exhibitions and event for VIBHA, which includes, Bhartiya Vigyan Sammelan 2017 at FC College Pune, International Conference on Raja Bhoj in Bhopal & recently 2018 he planned, designed & executed one of the biggest Bamboo structures for World Congress in Vedic Sciences at historic Deccan College Pune.
